Doreen O'Donnell Gera, 54, of the Villages, Fla., originally from Clarks Summit, died June 19. She was the wife of John Gera, who died April 18.

She was born May 9, 1956, in Scranton, daughter of the late William P. O'Donnell and Madeline Ivanik O'Donnell.

She graduated from Abington Heights High School in 1974 and then attended Cazenovia College, New York.

She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in the Villages.

Doreen had a passion for life and was a breast cancer survivor.

She recently worked for Kinetico Water Filtration, where she was considered a top saleswoman.

She had an amazing sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are a brother, Bill O'Donnell, Dalton; two sisters, Kelly O'Donnell Murphy, Bluffton, S.C.; and Leslie O'Donnell Engelking, Scotts Valley, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Nikki Gera, Taylor; several aunts, uncles and cousins; seven nieces and nephews, Alexa Giombolini, Archbald; Gabrielle Murphy, Fort Bragg, N.C.; Bridget and Kaylyn Murphy, both of Bluffton; and Billy, Brooke, and Blake Engelking, Scotts Valley.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda O'Donnell Giombolini, in 2000; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service was conducted for Doreen on Tuesday at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in the Villages.
